NORWALK, OH – Ford’s
Super Duty is bigger and better for it’s 2017 model. Claimed as the
toughest, smartest, and most capable super duty ever this truck is topped out
with best features for the working class of America.
Following in the steps of the most recent F-150 the Super
Duty has a high-strength steel frame with a military-grade, aluminum alloy
body. Together these create more towing capability and a tougher outside. The
aluminum alloy is less dent resistant and won’t corrode from rust.
What’s the most important job of a super duty truck? Towing
of course! Let me tell you why Ford’s
Super Duty is bigger and better in the technology department.
- Seven cameras surround this truck for easier trailering. Four include a 360-degree camera system that gives the driver a bird’s-eye view around the entire truck. Also, a first for super duties is a trailer camera that can attach to what you’re towing.
- In-cab trailer tire pressure monitoring system.
- Adaptive steering makes driving with a trailer much easier by decreasing the amount of steering input needed for low speeds and reducing sensitivity of steering in higher speeds.
- Blind Spot Information System with trailer tow is more optimized so it includes the length of the trailer.
- Lane departure warning gives warning with vibrations through the steering wheel that feel like rumble strips.
- LED sideview mirror spotlights give drivers the capability to light up the surrounding area like a work site or campsite.
- Class-exclusive quad-beam LED taillamps and headlamps
- Cargo box LED lighting
For the inside you’ll find a new interior design in all
three of the cab options – Regular Cab, SuperCab, and Crew Cab. They all have a
dual compartment glove box. The Supercab and Crew Cab second-row floors lay
completely flat for large items. Also, the integrated trailer brake is located
even closer to the driver for easier access.
Now let’s talk about the good stuff! The 2017 Super Duty
comes in three engine options: 6.7 L Power
Stroke V8 diesel, 6.8 L V10 gasoline, or 6.2 L V8 gasoline. The 6.2 L engine
come with the new Torqshift-G transmission as well. In other words, you’ll have
no problem towing – ever.
The 2017 Ford Super
Duty can be found in five models: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum.
