NORWALK, Ohio - It is truly special when Don Tester Ford Lincoln gets to help and assist the local community! This past May, Don Tester partnered with the Gibson Masonic Lodge #301 in Wakeman, OH, to participate and host the "Drive 4UR Community" event that raised $3,900 to support the local community!
Held at the Huron County Fairgrounds on May 15, this special event was sponsored by Ford Motor Company and supported the Special Olympics and Christie Lane Bears. It was the first time hosting the exciting event for Don Tester, and we could not have been more thrilled with the turnout! 195 participants came out to support the event, and every person had a blast driving our favorite Ford models!
Don Tester would like to give a special thank you to Ruth Ann Emerick from the Ladies of Gibson Lodge and John Hooper of the Gibson Lodge for not only organizing volunteers for the event but also were the catalysts who drove our teams! An additional $1,950 was also raised through the selling of some delicious pumpkin rolls thanks to the Ladies of Gibson Lodge. A big thank you also goes out to Jamie Perry, who is the Activities Coordinator at Christie Lane Industries Inc., and the person we could not have pulled off this amazing event without!
The "Drive 4UR Community" event raised $3,900 to support the local community and the funds were presented on July 20 at the Gibson Masonic Hall in Wakeman. Since 2011, over $45,000 has been raised for schools and nonprofits in Norwalk, OH, and the surrounding area through the drive events that Don Tester Ford Lincoln has sponsored! We cannot wait for the next one– see you there!
