Actually, driving with other dangerous motorists on the road is the top fear for Millennials and Generation Z, according to a study by Ford Motor Company. These top driving fears include backing out onto busy streets, maneuvering into tight parking spaces and monitoring blind spots. Thanks to this interesting new study, Ford Motor Co. has announced that it is moving forward to integrate the company's driver-assist features and technologies across its product lineup over the next five years.
It's interesting to think about what scares Millennials the most while driving. And what do they fear LESS than driving itself? Public speaking used to be the universal top fear, accompanied closely by death, snakes, spiders and heights. But now "other motorists driving dangerously" has won over the top spot for the younger generations.
Top fears for Millennials and members of Generation Z:
- Other motorists driving dangerously (88 percent)
- Public speaking (75 percent)
- Death (74 percent)
- Spiders (69 percent)
- Snakes (69 percent)
Younger generations are growing up with different fears than their parents or grandparents. So, what scares Millennials the most while driving? Dangerous driving occurrences that young adults fear the most are snowy or icy roads, maneuvering into a tight parking spot, backing onto a busy street and monitoring blind spots.
