The 2016 Lincoln MKX Makes Official Debut
NORWALK, Ohio - Alright, let's talk Lincoln Motor Company, shall we? The 2016 Lincoln MKX made its official debut this week at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, showcasing a new dramatic and sculptured design. Lincoln made it quite clear that the 2016 Lincoln MKX was designed with the intent to attract a wide range of customers in various global markets. It was important that the 2016 MKX offered more technology, engine choices, and customizable options for Lincoln customers.

The premium crossover features a standard 3.7-liter V6 engine that boasts a 300 horsepower! If that's not enough power for you, the MKX also offers an optional 2.7-liter twin-turbo Ti-VCT EcoBoost V6 that is expected to produce over 330 horsepower! All of the Lincoln MKX's energy is sent to the front of the vehicle via the six-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift and push-button controls. The MKX features a variety of brand new driving and safety features, which includes a pre-collision assist and the crossover's first 360-degree camera. The pre-collision assist helps to avoid or lessen the severity of some frontal crashes with another vehicle or pedestrian. The 360-degree camera shows up to 7 feet around the vehicle and provides an 180-degree split view to help drivers look out into cross-traffic situations.

A total of six trim levels will be available for the 2016 MKX, this includes Lincoln's two brand new Black Label trims. One of the newest trims is inspired by the fashion, lifestyle, and art scene of 1920s Paris, and the second represents the excitement, passion, and pageantry of thoroughbred horse racing. Some other features available on the all-new 2016 Lincoln MKX include: adaptive steering, integral rear link suspension, three-mode driving system, 22-way adjustable front seats, MyLincoln Mobile smartphone app, and a welcome mat that is projected onto the ground via a folded mirror once the driver's key fob is detected from nine feet away.

The 2016 MKX wasn't the only one making its official debut at the 2015 NAIAS! Revel and Lincoln Motor Company joined together to create the FIRST high-end Revel audio system for Lincoln vehicles. The 13- and 19-speaker systems offer three-mode Surround Sound, real-time music reconstruction from compressed sources, and a 20-channel high-voltage hybrid amp for top quality dynamics. We guarantee that your favorite song is going to sound ten times better in the all-new 2016 Lincoln MKX!
