“A Faster Horse” brings viewers behind the scenes and takes
a look at the development of the 2015 Ford Mustang, which marks the 50th
Anniversary of America’s original muscle pony car. Director David Gelb, who
also directed the critically acclaimed documentary “Jiro Dreams of Sushi”, was
given access to Ford’s secret engineering and testing facilities for over a
year.
Featured is Gale Halderman, the designer of the original
Mustang, as well as Chief Engineer Dave Pericak, a lifelong fan of the pony car.
The secrets of the Ford Mustang will be
revealed in a new documentary, which is also a first in its kind. Ford
funded the entire project, but Gelb states he had full creative control of the
final product.
